      You just have to love comments from people who have no idea what they are talking about and just makes comments like this for some hateful reason. I'm not sure what you’re saying. If you’re suggesting that the tomatoes taste bad, you would be wrong. We win tomato tasting contests every year. The plants receive exactly what they need to produce great tasting and juicy tomatoes. You might be used to tomatoes grown outdoors but this is what greenhouse tomatoes look like to get maximum production. Re-watch the entire video so you know what I’m talking about or stick to your african art whatever you make videos about.

    • @HomegrownPassion

      So the channels run 24/7 with nutrient water. It’s computer monitored so it keeps ph and EC right where I want it. The NFT system is 3.5 inches wide 1.5 inches deep so the nutrient water flows over the roots constantly.

    Which do you prefer growing strawberries on? The bags or the bato buckets? Also which is cheaper? Also are those bags reusable and do they recirculate or drain to waste?

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion 9 дней назад

      I prefer growing in the bato buckets I get more pounds from the buckets then the bags however the bags produce huge berries. I don’t why but the are bigger but still not the same pounds. I keep the strawberries going for two years in both bags and buckets. Everything is drain to waste because I’m using a dosatron injection system. All these videos are on my channel and how I built the systems if you’re interested. Hope this helps.

    Good morning, Kate Love your Videos. I have been watching you for years. Yesterday we were harvesting for our Farmers market and when we started pulling out the 5 star, we noticed that the roots have turned tan and were not the shiny white roots that we were accustomed to seeing in our channels. This has taking place in just a few days. we drained and scrubbed the nutrient tank and flushed fresh water thought the system. we added an air stone to get some oxygen in the system. Any help be greatly appreciated. we do wash and clean all the channels after use with Hydrogen Peroxide. Don

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion 10 дней назад

      Hi Don, Glad you are watching the videos and supporting the channel... Thank you. No, I don't use hydrogen peroxide when I clean my channels. I use a light solution of bleach. There are so many reasons for brown roots. Was the water cold after you flushed out your nutrient tank? Are your other plants showing brown roots. Look close at roots do you see any very small worms. (fungus knat larvae) I use a product called Zerotol in my solution when I see anything weird. Most cases it will solve the problem. Its great stuff. biosafesystems.com/product/zerotol-2/
